Wild diet: Generally vegetarian, forage for fruits, seeds, flowers, buds, twigs, shoots & leaves. Often feed invertebrates to their chicks. Will swallow small pebbles to help grind up hard food in the gizzard
Feeding strategy: Generally feed on the ground.
